The Troysgate System is designed to address and encompass all discipline areas where the use of deadly force may be necessary or required. The Deadly Force Academy is a center of excellence where all professions and disciplines work together and become unified in the approach where each individual learns and works together sharing their experiences. The academy provides comprehensive learning, knowledge and the understanding of deadly, conflict, encounters and engagements that surpass all current educational, training and teaching curriculums, applications and methods which have not existed anywhere in the world.
Deadly engagement is the finality of deadly conflict. The experience transcends anything that can be imagined by any human being where that individual becomes involved in a deadly encounter situation. Human survival is the single most important and defining moment of the protector’s life. Current training only helps an individual up to a certain point during deadly force situations. Deadly situations are very intense and highly emotional, and the uncertainty and loss of control makes it extremely volatile, unpredictable and more deadly.
Deadly conflict situations are ugly, intense, highly emotional and usually end badly or poorly at best and in many instances result in the loss of life... sadly and unfortunately in far too many situations, it is the "good guy" that is killed. Consider the aftermath of a deadly encounter that goes wrong where the outcome is loss of life, and may include other consequences such as collateral damages, injuries and the additional loss of life of an innocent bystander.
Deadly encounter situations have a starting and ending point, but the end of the event is only the beginning of the countless consequences regarding that event. There is always backlash, repercussions and accountability for any action taken. The more sensational the event, the more visibility it will have creating more issues and problems. There will be investigations that may lead to disciplinary actions and possibly judicial inquiries and actions. Individuals may be tried and prosecuted in the courts and if found guilty may be imprisoned. Victims and/or families of victims of the event may seek damages and can be awarded financial settlements. Individuals directly involved in the event may be fired, and the emotional and psychological consequences of their involvement may disrupt their family life and may lead to PTSD and in some instance result in suicide.
The problem with deadly encounter events is they represent problems that any and all discipline areas have had or will have. The other and probably more disturbing issue is there isn't a discipline area that has an answer or solution to the issues and concerns that plague all of us regarding deadly encounter situations.
All departments and agencies have the same problems, issues and concerns, all have to deal with similar consequences regarding these types of situations and events. Working together we can bring changes and have a correct answer that can solve these problems issues and concerns.
If we continue to pursue the status quo regarding these events, then we accomplish nothing and we continue to go nowhere in addressing and finding effective change and unrealized benefits that may exist. If we truly want to seek and establish that which would be necessary for effective change, then we need to make the decision and commitment to try promising solutions that are more clearly applicable to address the problems, issues and concerns regarding all aspects of deadly encounter situations, including the undesirable consequences of deadly engagement.
